Laurie Germaine is an award-winning New England native who once dreamed of raising her family in Europe and avoided anything that had to do with the American West (apologies to a large chunk of the USA). Today, she's a walking testimony to God’s sense of humor, since she lives quite happily in Montana with her husband of twenty-six years. They have two adult daughters who currently live in the warmer half of the USA.

When she's not immersed in writing or continuing to hone important life skills as a wife & mom (each season presents new challenges!), you can find her knitting anything from bags to toys to stockings, crafting for the home, or dreaming of the next white Christmas--yes, even in June. 😊

She fled her old life for a new one. Trouble is, she can’t remember why she ran.

Struggling artist Gwynn Sadler never planned to return to her hometown after escaping from a teenage tragedy nine years ago. She left everyone to believe she’d died, including the boy she loved, and buried painful memories in the process.

Such is the price for safety.

Then an unsettling encounter with a jolly old gentleman three weeks before Christmas triggers a hasty return to her mountain roots, where Gwynn collides with her former crush and wrestles against the dark secrets in her past.

Unable to immediately retreat to the security of her new life, Gwynn feels trapped. The Lord promises the truth will set her free, but how can she confront the very memories that might reveal a monster in the mirror?

An inspirational Christmas romance with a splash of intrigue and a dash of whimsy.

\"I've read the author's other two Christmas novels and loved them, so I was looking forward to this one. I was thrilled to discover that this story contained a decade-old mystery that kept me guessing until the very end. As a bonus, the author added surprising cameos of characters from her \"Tinsel\" series. Young adult readers, grab a cup of cocoa and curl up next to the fire for a clean romantic mystery.\"

Sequel to Tinsel in a Tangle

It’s been almost two years since Christmas elf, Tinsel, joined the Minor Flight Team and started dating Niklas Kringle, Santa’s grandson. But during a practice flight, she unintentionally endangers the reindeer and gets suspended from the job she loves. So when Santa’s age-old enemy, Krampus, threatens a Christmas takeover, Tinsel seizes the opportunity to win back everyone’s trust and her position. For the key to Krampus’s downfall lies halfway around the world in a legendary Silver Reindeer, and Tinsel alone has the talent for reindeer speech.

Once overseas, however, Tinsel runs into Niklas’s ex-fiancée, Gretel (who may still have designs on becoming his Mrs. Kringle), and discovers that not only has the Silver Reindeer disappeared, but so has her talent. Now rendered useless against Krampus, and outclassed by Gretel, Tinsel must devise a new plan to save the futures of Christmas, her love life, and her career . . . before they unravel faster than a trio of ugly sweaters.

This is so not the most wonderful time of the year.

Dreams will be threatened and doubts will grow as Tinsel seeks to discover her worth and to hold on to love.\"
